Canadian family visit and cooking in grade 10

As part of their world tour, grade 6 visited a family in Canada. The family spoke about some of the traditional foods as well as animals from Canada. The students were then given an option to either prepare a presentation on an animal or make one of the foods talked about by the family. Three of the girls choose to recreate a traditional food. Joy Abi Yazbeck chose to make Maple Syrup Popsicles, which she said are the best popsicles she had ever tried. Zoyi Chaar cooked Beavertails, a fried sweet dough which "tasted amazing" while Esther Barakat baked Montreal Bagels, which were perfect for supper. The event was organized by Mrs Shona Hill Barakat.
